Criminal files of repressed Ukrainians from the Volyn State Archives

The Volyn State Archives continue to publish criminal files of repressed Ukrainians in its section “Electronic Archive”. Recently, another 100 archival criminal cases concerning 107 repressed people were posted. It is reported in Volyn archive that the criminal cases belong to the fund of the State Security Committee under the auspices of the Council of Ministers of the Ukrainian SSR in the Volyn region. One of them concerns Petro Veremchuk, born in 1924 in the village of Rodovychi in Turia district. The file shows that Veremchuk was arrested and convicted for his activities in the Ukrainian Insurgent Army. He and other defendants in the case were later rehabilitated.

The Volyn State Archive is actively updating the Electronic Archive, revealing the truth about repressed Ukrainians. Currently 1867 of such cases are available.
