Concerned Ukrainians send gifts to the Hryhorii Skovoroda National Museum, which was destroyed by a russian missile last May. In March of this year, the museum launched the “300 Presents for Skovoroda” campaign, where every Ukrainian can donate an exhibit related to the life and work of the great Ukrainian philosopher.
Oksana Boyko from Kremenchuk was the first to donate her painting “The Wisdom of the Heavenly Scroll. The Last Days of Life”. Thanks to her books, magazines and newspapers, catalogs of works, etc. were sent to the museum from all over Ukraine.
Also a fundraiser for the restoration of the museum is underway, announced shortly after the destruction, by the Ministry of Culture as part of the project “Save Ukrainian Culture.” More than 112 million hryvnias are needed to restore the museum to its original state. Ukrainians are gradually filling this treasure. Recently, the frontman of the musical group “Okean Elzy” donated 350 thousand hryvnias for restoration of the Skovoroda Museum.
